So mature, yet so naive

Ok, so we get off the train early this morning in Paris and find our way on the Metro to the general area of our hotel.  The cafes along the streets have their specialties and their general menus posted on a large board for you to view when you walk by.  One board was advertising their breakfasts --- "French -- 10.50 Euros" and below it said "English --- 12.50 Euros"  Lindsey turns to me with a very serious look on her face and a hint of anger in her voice and says.."Mom, they charge you more if you don't speak French!".

After I wiped away the tears of laughter and returned to the board, I explained what the menu was describing. The menu was offering 2 types of breakfasts. A French - Light and less food and then the English breakfast which included a meat and a couple of other items, hence the higher price. Not because you can't speak French :-)

So mature, yet so naïve.  I love watching her learn and experience the world but sometimes I just can't help but laugh.  She got the giggles on this one too.
