I have mixed emotions about leaving Paris. There is a side of me that can't wait to get out of the city and then there is a side that keeps pulling me back in. Even though there are the crowds, heavy traffic and the many touristy things going on...there is a side to Paris with rich history and amazing culture.
I have seen many new and exciting things on this trip along with meeting some very nice people in the few days we have been here. There was the couple were
here dancing in the ballet, a family who packed up everything to live their dream...to live in Paris. I even met a man who wanted to "show" me Paris....ooh la la! (I didn't take him up on his offer). Lindsey got French lessons from a cab driver and I got taken for a nice scenic ride when the cab driver thought I said "Cafe at the Garde" when I said "La Metro Cafe". We even met a nice lady and her niece on the tour boat and we had dinner with them at a great cafe near Notre Dame.
Each time I come to Paris I see many new things and I go home with very good memories. Memories I'm banking on keeping me happy when I'm too old to travel and I escape into my mind and someone is feeding me baby food and asking me if my bodily functions are working well.
Bonne nuit!
